En Route to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

This is probably the craziest thing I have done in my life – moving from Boston to Singapore to Malaysia in a span of five days!

Still fighting with the jet lag but I am thankful to have 40 students to teach this week during my internship at Earth Tone Music Academy (ETMA), Sungei Besi. I am very impressed with the facilities at the school. They have a recital hall on the upper floor, drums room, guitar room, recording studio, dance studios, and of course, piano rooms. They are also a licensed Musikgarten school, providing music classes for students as young as few months old. I just started teaching the toddlers’ class aged two to four years old. It is a whole new approach for me as the youngest I have taught before was five years old, but with training from the founder of ETMA, I got the hang of it! Looking forward to learning and absorbing a culture that is different yet so familiar and similar!
